Manual Wind Engine-turned

Here are two of my manual wind watches. The top is a 34mm 6427. I believe the lower is a 6425, it is 36mm.

I'm posting particularly for GunslingerPK.

Hi beautiful 6426 Royal you have there.

I have one very similar with yours, mine is non precision dial. Blue second hand

Wow, the Oyster Royal is beautiful!

I thought these were 34mm Oysters?? Or am I confusing them with the Oysterdate?

Nice. Those watches have a lot of wrist presence for their size even if I generally prefer the 36mm Oysters (I'm wearing the 1018 you sold me today, moto, thanks pal) and I think the engine-turned bezel makes up for the lack of cyclops. If you have normal sized wrists and wear long sleeves, the 34mm Oysters look appropriate (I am over 6'2" and 200lbs) and the 2018 OP34s wear even bigger.

Nobody notices the small ones, either. Nice if you like to be under the radar a bit, you don't wear your DD every day after all

I'm telling you, the one with the blue dial is 36mm. Not sure why no one believes me. They look similar, but one is larger. It's on a 20mm German-made strap.

I would love to get a vintage manual wind in the future. I just love winding watches.
You have beautiful pieces man. How often are they serviced and any concern with wearing out the gears from daily winding?

Thanks bro ! I really love your cream dial 6424. The cream dial is beautiful and you need to see it in person to fully appreciate it.

I also started the vintage OP thread and please do post your beauty there.

There was question about wear and tear from daily winding: I have the sickness resulting in multiple watches, so I don't worry about daily winding. The mechanisms are fairly robust and unless you are super-careless, you won't cross-thread the crowns.

Which end links do you use, looks like they fit pretty solid...do you have 19mm or 20mm lugs?

Mineral thank you, very desirable watches you have and all in this post are phenomenal watches!!

I am not sure what all the flutter is about with 5513 and other sports LOL....

Me like few of others in this post got attracted with Oyster pertpetual (1018, 6298/6098) and mechanical windups. But did get into DJ, DD...GMTs are as far as I strayed in Rolex but that is as far I strayed... now I hoping someday 6424 or 6024, cheers.

Hopefully we can grow our 6424/6426 etc. following...for me the 6424 with its tad bit larger case just makes it for me! Love the smaller ones as well but for me it’s just something extra with those 2 extra mm (probably really only about 1,5mm difference, but anyway)
