4 digit vintage daytonas
Thoughts on which are the most desirable, collectable and rarest four digit daytonas 6239, 6262, 6241 etc.?

The full answer to this would take a book, and several have been written. There’s a good article by Ben on HODINKEE (their caps, not mine) which gives a good overview but it’s a huge subject full of nuance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Supposedly the 6262 had the lowest production numbers.

There’s eight examples of reference 6270. That would be the most rare and most collectible version of the manual Daytona.
The put-together Unicorn white gold 6265 is of course unique as well.

yaaaa... the bracelet on the 6265 is a little too odd for me, isn't sporty seems dainty. But unicorn is a fitting moniker, the wg is great!

Any reference with Paul Newman dial are the most desirable and collectible.

rarely see a 6262...multiple variations produced in small numbers.
Probably one of the least common is this variation with blue Daytona + flat sub registers. |
