Query on 14060 matching dial and series

Hi all, managed to add a 14060 U serial to my collection at quite a good price today.

What I noticed is that the dial is marked Swiss at the bottom which I presumed is Luminova. Is this dial consistent with a U serial sub nd?

Just to provide more information, The serial number is U86***** and the clasp code is X2. Anyone has any idea?

Appreciate any feedback

Many thanks Jack! Now I can sleep better. This watch is going to replace my SD as my daily beater. It's extremely comfortable as I can hardly feel it's there. Sweet!

U serial they began the transition from tritium to luminous dials and they were marked "swiss" only at the bottom and not swiss made. Only a two year run so one could argue that you have a rare dial for the 14060

Here's another "Swiss" dial, my A series originally purchased in 1999. I believe only the U series in 1998 and A series in 1999 have these dials. Welcome to the club!

to Gary, the original poster.... I hope this isnt tacky...but how good a price (if you care to share - no worries if not)? I'm half thinking of either flipping mine or trying to find someone who might consider a trade (14060 plus cash). I REALLY miss having the date window....was thinking about seeing what value I could get in a trade for a Sub date...?? My U series is in very good condition, serviced about 6 months ago, had new genuine bezel insert put on. Box, papers and service papers, and old bezel insert would be included...What do you think TRF Nation? $3000 value?

I've got mine just under US$3000 and the bracelet still tight.

I used to own a 16610 and a 16610LV and flipped both for a GMTIIc and the 14060.

I'm still holding on to my 16600 SD as that's definitely a keeper.

I just can't explain the pure simplitic beauty of the sub nd. It's just a work of art. Some people might say that it looks too similar to the SD but boy, when you have experienced both on the wrist, they both feel very different.
