Aways said it always will Seiko the most underrated watch on this planet
today. What has amazed me is the quality of the dials, that would put a few
so called high end brands to shame, just look how the date wheels line up.

The Monster has a great reputation, that's why I wanted one. Reading that review just solidified how tough it is for me.

Nah, I've got the ExpII on the carbon/red stitching strap today. Man, I've had three straps on it since Sunday.

Too late, mate. I find I'm wearing the leather the most, the carbon second and the bracelet the least. I put it on for Sunday cuz I wanted to wear it skiing.

Frans, I agree on you with that. I would much rather have a manual wind function than a day function. In fact, i'd be happy with no day/date feature at all, so long as I could manually wind it. But that's splitting hairs. It's a tough MOFO of a diver!

Thanks C.J. It's a pretty beefy beast, and certainly not everyone's taste. I am of the opinion that it's so ugly, it's good looking. My wife thinks it's ugly as sin.

But one thing is for sure, it's a tough watch, and damned accurate considering the price. Now why can Seiko put a solid SS bracelet on a sub US$200 watch and my $7000 Explorer II has hollow links?

Two pair, the decorative kind, like you had in your last avatar. Size 25 stuffed full of bounty from the harvest. And no shake either, I'm talking buds the size of my fist! hell, I'll even give you the famous Yacht Mariner instead, much nicer than the plain old GMT

Paul, you can get them on fleabay for around $140. Best bargain around. The cool thing is, they aren't and have never been, available in Canada.

Like this one to Paul if this did not have seiko on dial say a swiss brand I
would expect to pay upward of £500-£600 at Timefactors £125 about $210

I had you on 'ignore' and took you off in a moment of benevolence.

The orange may do well in speed skating (but Japan will give you a tough ride)... however Canada will win double hockey gold!

Beauty, eh!

Japan is only short track and sprint. Field hockey (I know you guys laugh about this) is more our game (multiple world cups, both men and women). What I like very much is the 100 meter beer drinking, free style
