Asian market Submariner blue dial bezel SS

I've googled and searched on here to no avail, does anyone have any images of this watch? I've recently seen for sale a blue faced Sub in stainless in a reputable jewellers, not sure if the one for sale is all original or been altered.

I don't believe there's ever been a stainless steel Submariner that came from the factory with a blue dial, vintage or modern.

There were/are TT, yellow gold and white gold Subs with blue dials, but not in stainless steel. Maybe it was a Tudor, which did make blue-dial Subs in SS.

SS blue sub

It was defiantly a Rolex sub, I've read elsewhere that there was a blue SS sub made for the Asian market

We've seen a model or two geared for the Asian market, the only one that comes to mind though is a green turnograph
Definitely no SS with blue dial/bezel sub.
You can mod a sub C (date) or buy a white gold version.
Edit: updated in below post. Apparently they did make it

I only know of blue tudor subs in SS only. Anything else would have been modified. It would be pretty cool if one existed....but I am certain I would have read about by now.

Maybe you saw a modern white gold blue dialed submariner?

I have seen them. I'm sure some were for the Asian market.
Others I'm sure were Frankin aftermarket.

Are we talking vintage? Maybe this is obvious but a friend has a blue one from not long ago, like 2003... Blue bezel and dial. Not 100% sure of the reference but def not vintage. He did not pay a premium, paid ~$5k.

Alright, little bit of googling research brings this up:
http://www.antiquorum.com/catalog/lo...ian+submariner

Apparently Rolex did make a very limited amount of them for the Asian market... I don't think I've ever heard about it before
The forums and sites I just read through swear it's real through and through and came like this from the factory

I always liked the Cartier 1680 with blue bezel.
