List of years that models were released

Hi All,
I realise that a watches age can be checked by the serial number (although there seems to be a considerable amount of contradiction between different lists) but does anyone know if there exists a definitive list of Rolex model numbers and the years between which they were produced/realeased? My personal interest is the 6241.

6241 was produced from around 1966 to 1970 something. Approx 1.5-2.5m serial if I am not mistaken.

Thanks, this helps me. A dealer cast some doubt on my watch, saying that the serial # was very late for the model but everything I've found confirms it's OK. My serial is 2558907, which is about 1968 and as far as I can see totally correct for version I have.
Maybe they wanted to push the value down.

2.5 is late for a 6241 but probably not outside what to expect. The 6264 came around that serial and I would not doubt a short cross-over.
