1967 5513 restoration options

I've recently inherited a 1967 Rolex Sub 5513. I'm new to vintage watches , so thanks to the previous members who advised on how to research.

I now know a little more about this watch

1.7 Million serial makes it 1967
Meters first dial original
replacement hands, bezel, and bracelet. All done by Rolex service

The Plexiglas is scratched, i've seen online repairing it with polywatch, is this a good idea, should i leave as is or replace?

Also the bezel is stuck, should I remove and clean, or take to a professional to do?

It is running ok, about 5 sec per day slow. Should I get it serviced?

I would like to keep the watch for sentimental reasons, but would like to maintain it properly according to correct vintage standards.

Some pics attached, many thanks

Congrats.

The bezel is a press-to-turn, friction lock, so they do feel stuck if you are not pressing down.

yes polywatch for the plexi, try to find hands matching with dial dots, MK2 long 5 bezel insert, crown should have been replaced too I think, you have to find a 702. Then should be like mine from 1967 too (all 1967 original parts) :)

Honestly, I’d just get a non service insert (it should have a MK2 Long 5). I’d prob leave the hands OR have someone color match a set of service hands. Keep the ones on the watch providing the don’t glow. They are of value.

Beautiful watch!
But that vintage should have a 700 crown (7mm without dots under coronet).

Send it to a watchmaker and have them do an overhaul. If its sentimental you want to take care of it as best as possible imo. I agree with others, sourcing tritium hands would be a good call.
