My First Omega is here. Pix

Received it yesterday and took it to the Omega boutique to get it sized. Apparently they needed their most experienced watch guy to size the rubber bracelet sized since it needed to be cut. Didnt charge me a penny even though I had bought it from Chrono 24. Figured its a good addition to my Rolex, Panerai, Breitling and now I have an Omega too.

Awesome watch. Definitely something you don't see on every wrist. Congratulations OP.

Thank you. I most certainly dont mean to offend any Omega owners here but as you can tell from my other watches I like time pieces that stand out a bit. While I was at the Omega boutique today while the guy was sizing my watch I must admit most of their pieces looked simply boring to me. Yes, it was the first watch on the moon and Im sure they are just as good as any other swiss watch but they certainly dont have the "Look at me" look like some watches do but the Ploprof is certainly an exception which is why im so happy with my purchase. Its definitely a heavy watch you feel. If I wear this then put on my 40mm Submariner Bluesy I feel like its not even there.

Congrats!!!
Very special watch—I’ve never tried that one one; I should.
You’re so right:
Many watches do look boring, but this is ofcourse a very personal experience.

Certainly a beautiful hunk of watch. It is a thing of beauty. I tried it on a few times, but for some reason did not think I could pull it off. But it looks great on your wrist.

Great addition to your varied collection.

The Omega Boutique is great about that kind of thing. They don't seem to mind at all where you buy your watch, but they will go out of their way to assist you any way they can. I think it's a great philosophy.

Anyway, huge Congratulations!

Cheers,
Carl

Congrats, and you have a great well-rounded collection.

You’re right about your assessment of most other watches, they are kind of boring and don’t stand out too much among a crowd. In my case that’s exactly what I’m going for, but we need all of the cool funky watches too for the people who don’t mind standing out. That PloProf is one of the coolest, most badass watches in existence, and you wear it well!

Wow! That is a serious divers watch! Saw a video review - good to 4,000 feet. That is some serious diving.

I seriously doubt a human being can survive that deep without being crushed to death. I wonder how is the world record for going the deepest without being inside a submarine.

Very unique indeed. Congrats, and you pull it off rather nicely!

I'll be the first to admit that I don't have the cajones to rock this bad boy. I prefer to hide my piece under my sleeve and sneak a peak every 5 minutes (and giggle).
