Incoming Micro Independent

Just wanted to share my latest acquisition, a Trilobe Nuit. Trilobe is a relatively new micro brand from Switzerland (although the creator is French). The unique movement was co-developed from the ground up with JF Mojon of Chronode (movement specialist company that works with Czapek and others), it's landed them as GPHG nominees the years running.

The Nuit, which i purchased, is their latest design ethos. I opted for the more compact 38.5mm case, which is extremely wearable even with the strong, pronounced lugs. The case is well designed and executed. The movement is nicely appointed and unique in its architecture. The dial side, although sparse, features a surprising amount of intrigue given its unique layout and constant motion of the hours, minute and seconds discs.

Figured I would share a seldom, if ever, talked about brand that is shaking things up a bit.

Oooh, neat! I really like the model you can pick the night sky date. That's a great way to help commemorate a special day.

Nice. I’ve been looking at these for a year or more now.

Did you take a gamble on it or had you seen it in person? Also, what size is your wrist?

Was this in the mix with anything else, and if so what was the thought process behind going with this one? I think when looking more at Ressence I also began to look at these too.

Honestly…spur of the moment, haha. Saw it in the case and an AD and tried it on. Pretty much spoke to me when I had it on the wrist.

Saw it in person at an AD by chance. I wasn’t really in the market for anything, but it kind of just spoke to me when I saw it and held it in the hand. I knew about the brand already, but didn’t do as much research as I typically do. More of an impulse buy if I’m honest.

My wrist is 15.5cm btw.

I wonder if there will ever come a day when certain other brands can make progress in this area. Haha

Do they care?

Do they have to?

Change the dial color to whatever is the flavor of the day, call it a limited edition, and their pigeons lose their minds and buy with both hands... only if they can 'be approved' by the company's Pixies and Dwarfs.

It's like being a contestant on The Price Is Right.

Impulse can be good sometimes !

We have similar size wrists so it’s helpful to see how this fits on your wrist.

The occasional impulse buy is certainly liberating. haha
The lugs are very strong/pronounced, but it wears extremely well with the 38.5mm case.

That's exactly where I got mine. I visit the big three watch dealers there pretty often. I'm sure we've probably run into each other at some point. Haha

Congratulations and thanks for sharing! I, too, have been more drawn to watches with alternative ways to display time lately. This is really cool and will try to find one to see in the metal.

Congrats, beautiful piece! I've been really liking some of these highly finished minimalist designs we've been getting from indies lately.
