Nice piece, spotted it a while back in a Gnomon newsletter. Not the first non-GS to use SD though.

Guess I’m surprised that Seiko uses SD as well.
I love GS watches. The quality is really top notch, and the SBGE257 is one of my favorite pieces to wear now. But Seiko / GS marketing, product line, and product decisions just baffles me. If you do zaratsu polishing and spring drive on all Seiko watches, then what’s the differentiating features between Seiko and GS? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Cool watch but lost in the Seiko LX/Grand Seiko/Seiko branding mess. For the price I can do better.
