A question for Vanessa or other Rolex watchmaker...

Sorry to bug you with this but I have a question. I bought a preowned 14060M F series Sub. with the 3130 a while back and it had been serviced by a watchmaker shortly before I bought it. Everything seems fine (watch runs well and keeps excellent time) but there is one odd thing...I have to roll the crown forward (like winding it but in the time setting position) instead of the usual backward motion to set the time. It is just me or did this guy reverse a gear or something? Do I have anything to worry about (wear and tear from something not being right) or should I wait until I have it serviced a few years down the road? It doesn't make any unusual noise or anything, the time just doesn't set the way it's supposed to. Thanks for the input! I appreciate it! -Chad

Chad,

I'm not a watchmaker, but on a 3130 movement, when you rotate the crown clockwise, the hands move clockwise. It sounds like your Sub is working exactly the way it should....

Oh. I should have known. I guess I'm so used to ETA movements and moving the crown in reverse to set the time... at least I think thats the way they set! Anyway, never mind but thanks for answering me Have a good night!

The reason why the 3130 turns differently from most other watches is because there are 2 setting wheels instead of the usual 1. This reverses the direction of the hand-setting....
Wasn't a bad question at all!

On my 'K' 14060M, crown clockwise moves the hands clockwise.
