3255 and 3255 servicing

A Question, if I might, for our resident Rolex watchmakers/CW21s:

Are the 3200 series movements (3255/3235) now readily serviceable via US service centers and AD's with Rolex-certified watchmakers on staff?

Thanks If so, what are your thoughts, thus far, on the new calibers?

Yes they are and we've had a few in for repair already. All parts should be in stock at every RSC.

Thanks, Bas!

Do you know if it was anything out of the ordinary for these repairs (systemic issues related to the movement itself, covered under warranty) or just damages from customer ham-handedness? I’m curious how these seem to be doing, & what the true experts feel about the new calibers.

Put another way: do you feel watches with the 32xx are worthy of buyer confidence at this point in their production cycle?

They're very reliable so far, the only reason they currently need a service for is when the crystal breaks. And one 3285 came in with a broken rotor ball bearing, after a drop.

I haven't taken one apart yet but I really hope that I can repair one soon

Cool! Of course, any caliber equipped with a BB borne rotor could have a similar issue from a severe drop, so no issue there.

Definitely hope you get a chance to dig into one soon—please give us a full report!
