SS PEPSI (BLRO) with SARU bezel possible?
Just saw an incoming thread with a trf member acquiring a WG SARU GMT.
Always liked the look of the SARU bezel but not so much the diamond lugs. Would a franken-saru be possible to do on a BLRO? Anyone have any experience with this? Would love to see one photoshopped to see how SARU compliments the jubilee band.

Doesn't that defeat the entire purpose of a GMT?

Apparently there were differences preventing use of WG BLRO bezels on cheaper SS models so I'm unsure how across model compatibility works lately. Could be expensive if even possible. Where to source a factory SARU is something else..

I have seen this from custom jewelers in the diamond district
The quality of some are nearly indistinguishable from their original counterparts |

Yes, that's kinda how the idea came about. I would have to have a jeweler make a custom set stainless bezel for the BLRO.

Doing it aftermarket to me its like putting a pool in your back yard. Costs twice as much to put in as you get back out when you sell.

You would not be able to source a SARU bezel from rolex and if one came up on the grey market the price would be laughable. Aftermarket is the best option by far. Of course it is doable.

I would be adding an aftermarket bezel and keeping the original pepsi bezel as well. I don't normally flip my watches. This would be for my own enjoyment and if i was to get bored of it I would just put the original bezel back on and part ways with it.

Yes, Original Saru bezel would never come up for sale.

It would be rare to set stones like that in a hard metal like SS. Most jewelers would make it out of WG.

I saw one at ben bridge a few years ago that didn’t have anything on the lugs. It also had only red and blue stones. The dealer told me it was ordered for a local athlete but was never picked up. It was stunning!
