Cellini Moonphase owners...

Gentlemen,

The last Rolex I thought I'd ever buy was a Cellini. Never liked them, never ever considered them, until I saw the new Moonphase today, which I purchased! It is an absolute stunner and must be seen in person to be appreciated. I presently own a black Daytona C, a (Federer '12 Wimbledon watch) 41mm Everose Day Date II and waiting very patiently for my blue Skydweller.

Rolex is NOT known for dressy leather strapped watches and I always thought prior Cellini models were just plain boring. THIS watch changes their game entirely in that category - in my opinion!

I wanted ask those who own the new Moonphase how high the loops where the end of the strap goes into sits on your wrist. Is it high up on your wrist, where usually the loops should sit toward the bottom middle of the wrist? Is that a new look with this watch? I have fairly thin wrists and the watch I put on today, when adjusted, the loops were very high up on the side of my wrist. My AD is ordering a "short strap" for me on Monday. Not sure if such a strap for the Moonphase even exists.

Pics would very much be appreciated of where the loops sit on your wrist. I'd post mine but it's at the AD waiting for a new strap.

Thanks in advance!
Ken

I’m afraid I can’t definitively answer your question on the loops, but I just saw this same watch today in person at my favorite local AD for the first time and have to say it is absolutely amazing. Like you, I never really thought much about the Cellini line - and have owned more than my fair share of Rolex over the years. This watch is simply stunning in person - they’ve done an amazing job with it. Seriously considering picking it up. Enjoy your amazing new watch! (FWIW, I tried it on - about 7.25” wrist - and loops seemed to be in what I’d consider the normal position - just past the tang buckle...)

Sorry I can't help, but...wow! Congrats on a great watch!

And when you get it in, please post some pics with the rest of your amazing collection.

The rubber oyster flex comes in various sizes, so the leather may as well. Anyway it will be easy to see if original Rolex or not.
Cellini moon phase is a stunning watch, huge congrats in advance

Thanks, guys!

AD ordered a Rolex short strap for me so now it's just a waiting game until it comes in. They did confirm this leather strap does come in long, regular and short.

Will keep all of you posted. Not much popularity for the Cellini's on this forum, which is completely understandable. I would also just ignore or never click on a Cellini post. UNTIL, I saw the new Moonphase!!

I would absolutely love to own the Cellini Moonphase. However, for the list price, it's a few watches I would get first. Congrats on a beautiful watch. I have yet to come across an AD who has received one.

Looks amazing. But too much imo. There are other rolexes I would get before.

How did the shorter strap work out for you?
The moonphase really is beautiful, I need a shorter strap also, I’m hoping to swing by RSC and have it swapped out same day without having to order and wait.

Mine are just off of the buckle, what I consider normal. Congratulations on a great piece.

Worked out perfectly!!! Get tons of compliments on the watch which I wear almost every weekday. (switch occasionally with my Federer '12 Wimbledon watch)

Enjoy!!

That’s great to hear! I’ve noticed there are a handful of moonphase owners on here. We need to start a “post your “full moon” pics”
