Make sure you have insurance on the watch for replacement cost in the Grey Market and wear your watch. Have a good trip.

That’s generally what I do.

Your wrist is the safest place for your watch when going on a trip.

You should be fine, I doubt anyone will even notice you have a watch on let alone a Rolex.

The X4060 is really not that high profile of a watch. I think it is unlikely many people will notice it and it will be fine as long as it is on your wrist. If you are in an extremely rough area, perhaps go with long sleeves?

I would not personally leave it in a hotel safe. They just aren't very secure, and one universal admin code will open many of those safes.

Wear the watch. Don’t leave in hotel. I do sometimes, but it’s is at risk more when it’s off your wrist, IMO.

The only way I travel with them is if they are insured. Recommend you use Hodinkee - Chegg. I am delighted with that service.

Much like any city those you’ve named require situational awareness and a knowledge of where not to go and at what times.

If you have no interest in learning about the troublesome areas of each city, don’t wish to limit the times you’re out wherever the wind takes you or you simply can’t be bothered with possible hassle, simply don’t take the watch to unfamiliar places.

I like this advice. That's what I've done on a couple of my watches, not to mention it's fun to change it up anyways.

Don’t make it complicated just put it under your sleeve or just wear a different watch.

I was in Rome last week and it was still hot. I wore my watches with a short sleeve shirt and had no problems. Be aware of your surroundings and you should be fine.

I decided not to wear my 114060 Sub-maxi a couple of years ago for various reasons, one being the watch obviously stood out pretty boldly and I was still traveling constantly. It was very easy to sell.

Enjoy the watch or move it on - too many other, more important issues.

Best place is on your wrist! Besides, nobody wants that scratched up piece of metal LOL! Use common sense, wear it and enjoy!
