Christmas Gift

First off, it feels great to be back on the forum.

On to my story...

My dad is the hardest person I know to buy for. Birthday, Christmas, doesn’t matter; it’s almost impossible because anything he wants or needs he goes out and buys. And to make matters worse, both Christmas and his birthday fall in the same month. It stresses me to the point that I usually have to come out and ask what he wants.

This year, I was thinking a nice pen. So I asked him…
“I have a nice pen” He said matter of factly.
“Where?” I asked. I have never seen him with anything more than a 20 dollar pen on his desk.
He opened up the top drawer of his desk and pulled out a box.
“OH!, A Mont Blanc” I exclaimed before he was able to open the box and show me.
“Been in the box since I bough it, though about giving it to you for Christmas”.

That idea is a dead end... still trying to figure out what to get him...

Oh, thanks dad!

So I hope you accepted the offer
My mum was the same as your dad, the most difficult person to buy something for, she had everything she needed!
I have got to the age where I actually love getting socks for Christmas

My wife is hard to buy for because she does not like extravagant gifts. She tells me she doesn't need anything and never gives me any ideas. She's not a big spender so I usually give her gift certificates to Bed,Bath and Beyond and to clothing stores she shops at. Last year for X-mas I gave her a diamond ring(made by Hearts On Fire)and she said take it back to the jewelry store!!!
