Icon5 Last serials/year for Tritium dial 14060?

Last serials/year for Tritium dial 14060?

I'm looking at a potentially great deal on a U serial 14060 right now and have until tomorrow to decide, and I'm a firm believer in asking the questions before you buy, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Were they "M" by then (1997) and is a two liner tritium dial correct?

What movement should be inside?

Thanks fellas!

So are you looking at a 14060 or a 14060M? 2 vs 4 line dial will tell you the answer.

Two line definitely correct for a 1997. Movement in the 2 liner is the 3000; if the 4 liner (14060M) it's the 3130 movement. My father's U53XXXX 14060 (1998 I believe) has the 2 line tritium dial which I think was the last year for that (see my photo).

If a 1997 the modified movement didn't come out by then:

I too got a great deal. The 14060 was my father's 65th birthday gift. The seller asked if I wanted to buy his 1603 off him for a package deal. I paid $4150 for the pair (I'll let you decide what I paid separately ;)

Beauty..Thanks, and that would explain why I'm finding pix of U serial examples with both Tritium an Luminova dials if U is right on the cusp.
