I think the US take on a "pinky ring" is a little different from in the uk but I wear a signet ring on my little finger.

The crest of my branch of the family is a falcon on an oak stump.

Great photos! Your family crest is so interesting, is there a story behind the falcon & oak stump?

shot this on 4 July in Waikiki

sitting in the shade of some pretty flowering trees, the sun and breeze were great.

I don't wear a pinky ring any more, but do like gem rings just the same.

Cheers, Tim

Sometimes tradition within a culture (think British), sometimes to show association to a group or profession, sometimes a fashion statement.
