Rolex sub runs fast overnight... What's wrong?

So for example if I put on my sub at 730am and don't take it off till 9pm it will run +1 to +3 consistently... When I go to sleep around 12am and wake up at 7am the watch will be running +7 to +10.... What can be wrong? Doesn't matter what side I put the watch, laying flat, crown up and so forth... If I reset it the watch runs perfectly until I put it away for the night...

Rolex movements are usually precise and will run at the same +/- in any given position.

At your max +3 on the wrist there is probably not a position that will run enough minus for correction.

But If your watch has a mechanical fault a timegrapher could give you the answer.

In any event it would confirm your positional variances.

did you download an app to track the time and see exactly how much +- of conus it is ?
I would download an app and do like a 24hrs test, leave the watch untouched, crown down and see exactly how much you are gaining or losing.

A timegrapher is a invaluable tool to have for any serious watch collector. Really helps diagnose what's going on inside your watch and you can see instantly how fast/slow your watch is running in each position.

Here some info in case anyone is interested:

As for the OP's problem, yes a service will fix it.
