JLC Polaris Memovox limited edition

Hey everyone,

What are talks thoughts on the Polaris Memovox limited edition? I have an opportunity to buy one from my local AD, its limited to 1,000 pieces...is this something that will become super collectable?

Dana

I don’t think so. JLC outside of the Reverso isn’t a huge seller so 1000 pieces of another model is a lot, even if they say it’s an LE

Doubtful. Cool piece, but probably not something that will retain or appreciate in value down the road. But then I don’t have a crystal ball, so who knows?

Don’t buy this, or that brand, thinking you’ll have yourself a wearable Investment. You’ll be disappointed.

But, it’s sweet! If you have the wrist for it, do it

Its an incredible dull watch, JLC doesn’t really do collectable watches. Buy one if you like it.

I would purchase it for it’s appeal as a good looking, well made watch. I think you will be disappointed if you see it as an appreciating asset, it will never be.

If price retention is a factor get the Geophysic 1958 reissue. 850 pieces and far more collectible. I don't see the Polaris being a classic.

For this price,

I would look around for a second-hand Tribute to Polaris 1968: it's nicer, it's a classic, and it has a price tag proven by time.
