RubberB strap for SD43 is available!

They finally released it...though it looks like there is only a glidelock option right now. Check it out here, two color options:

I like the strap with the red.

OMG I've been waiting for this since May 2017!

New material with the addition of carbon fiber inside the rubber to make it more resistant, nice!

No tang and buckle option? Also, I was hoping for an integrated strap flush with the outer edge of the lugs, like the Deepsea's strap (third picture below). I'll have to wait for tang and buckle at least.

Have to say I’m disappointed after all the wait.

Hopefully we’ll see some other colours/ colour combos released and a tang buckle option.

It’s a pass for me just now.

Pass here too. Want tang buckle and was hoping for something a little different like the dssd or vented. Oh well. Hopefully Everest will have something soon for it.

FWIW, I reached out to RubberB to inquire about a tang buckle style strap for the SD43. I’ve included their response below, somewhat disappointing to hear...will see what Everest releases.

“I do believe a tang buckle version is planned to be released but it will not be available until sometime next year”

Thanks for sharing. I won't be waiting another year as far as I'm concerned, that would be 2 years in total. I know waiting lists are trendy these days but no way.

That’s exactly what I said in my response...how can it take that long, the tang version should be easier to make...or so I’d think.

That’s what I’m doing as well, I just ordered a bergeon 7825 banking on RubberB releasing a solid strap...I should have waited.

Pictures look good! Im not sure this watch needed the "flare" I don't own one but have tried it on and is not as robust as the Deepsea. Maybe that's why? I bought their military green strap for my 5711 so I guess I scored a new launch too? lol

Will be interested to see actual reviews once it lands.

Waiting for a tang version.

Also, none of the glidelock size configurations account for if you use the 1/2 link on the 6 o'clock side.

I was wondering the same thing about the 26mm fliplock extension link, I guess it doesn't take it into account but it should as it's an integral part of the bracelet, you're not supposed to remove it even if most owners chose to do so for comfort.

Wish it hugged the lugs like the Deep Sea. It Doesn’t have much to warrant its price point.

The updated sizing chart is on the site now. It includes both using or omitting the divers extension.

[QUOTE=RBear1981;8774297]250 bucks for 2 bits of rubber

Which is 2% the cost of the watch... seems like a deal then

Looking forward to the first review.

Agreed, I wouldn't put a cheap rubber strap on a 10K watch. This one is reinforced with carbon fiber. Ideally I'd rather have a solution close to the Oysterflex with a sheet of metal inside the rubber.

Here is RubberB’s response to my email thread regarding the tang buckle...oh well

“I am sorry to hear about your disappointment and I wish we could have satisfied you today with an SD 43 Tang Buckle version. However, due to the time consuming nature of Swiss production, combined with a long list of Rubber B innovations waiting in line to be produced, unfortunately choices must be made in order to accommodate as many watch models as possible, as early as possible. The Glidelock Series was selected in priority due to past performance of such with other Rolex models in comparison, and also due to the OEM esthetic, which many brand new watch owners have said they enjoy. But we also do appreciate your very valid point of view with regards to the convenience of the Tang Buckle Series and saving your buckle like new in storage.

In any case, we do hope to accommodate you in the future as it is on the coming list, but unfortunately it will not be soon enough. Thank you for your valued interest in our products, and we wish you a great Summer!”

Everyone should send them a request for tang option. That will speed up priority setting!

Just received it! Will try to post after I do the swap. Those pictures don't do much justice. The red matches exactly to the red on the dial. The quality is top as expected, Ill let you know about installation and fit as soon as I can.
