I put a 30% deposit at my local AD yesterday. They’re quoting me a wait time of 6-8 months. Did I make the right decision of putting a deposit?

What else could you have done with the money over that period of time?
What guarantee do you have regarding the quoted delivery time, if ever?
What is their policy regarding getting your deposit back?

Well putting 30% down really isn’t going to affect my finances in any way. The only reason I did it is because they’re going for over 12k in the grey market. So I thought it was a good investment
