The polar explorer is clear winner for me. I know I can rely on it for many years to come without worries

Zenith defy was my choice with bracelet...incredibly comfortable on the wrist and looks killer.

I have way too many dress watches. So I’d go for the IWC, otherwise it would be the Cartier Drive.

Agree with this . Have had my P serial (2000) polar 16570 on for a week now and it is better than +1 sec/day, super comfortable, and a joy to stare at. For reasons I don’t understand, still relatively affordable/reasonable compared to the rest of the Rolex preowned prof line market.

I agree- in that price range, for the Exp 2 16570 is an easy win

Yeah, if OP doesn’t mind the name, I think GS is the best at this range.

I'm personally not a big fan of any of those you show but I'd probably take the Cartier among them. In that price range for a one and only watch, my choice would be a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39mm white dial.

I'd get a 5 digit Sub LN date !!!
If a date model can't be located I'd be
open to the no date reference...

in that price range I'd either go for a grand seiko GMT or an explorer I/OP/datejust (I suspect both used and new options for each of those).

if you're limiting to stictly the ones you listed then for me definitely the cartier extra flat.

That Zenith open-faced with bracelet is pretty nice actually, I like it way better than the ingenieur which I find a bit dull.

I agree with the other guys that’s a Grand Seiko for my money!

If not a JLC MUT moon preowned or possibly exp II black.

If only your listed choices, I'd go for one of the Zenith. Otherwise, I'd go for a Grand Seiko most likely, Good Luck

If you "don't mind" dressy, that Cartier is pure class.
