Waiting for a BLNR but D-blue 126660 keeps haunting my dreams

If I got the call for the BLNR I’d be happy but the Deepsea keeps popping in my head. I’ve tried the black dial on but would love to see the JC version in the flesh. Funny, I thought I wasn’t really looking into divers but the over-engineering and heft of this piece is calling. 44mm is big not to mention the height of the watch.

Anyone else finding this watch, like the devil in old cartoons whispering in their ear?

I've owned both and as you know they are two very different references.

The Dblue is the only Rolex I regret letting go.

Personally, I believe 40mm Rolexes are a bit small. I have had a BLNR (too small) an older James Cameron (too top heavy, and bracelet too narrow) and now have the SD43 (MK1 lol). I am keen for a James Cameron 126660b. While the SD43 is a seriously well balanced watch, the dial is a bit less interesting than the 126660b. Thats where my twsted head is at right now.

Not to that extentFor some time I really wanted to add it to my collection but suddenly my cravenness disappeared.

That looks amazing. I’ve heard a lot of people letting it go, mainly due to size. I have a 6.75 inch flat wrist and 6’ 3”. I do feel that if I had the D-blue I’d be like “Thank you and goodnight!”.

To contradict that...

If both BLNR and D-blue were in the window and I could have my pick, I’m not sure which I’d go for...

The DSSD is a cool watch. I have owned it a couple of times and always moved away based on the watch being somewhat top heavy and all of the text on the dial. The JC version is also way cool but I could not bring myself to pay the difference for the dial. With the updates I look forward to handling one and I may put it back on my wish list. The watch for me is the SD43. The size, balance of the bracelet, case, bezel, red text and even the cyclops work. The SD43 is the Perfect Rolex Diver for me. Check it out.

Having just taken delivery of my BLNR I’m biased, but, I’d wait for the BLNR to come in.

Both are incredible watches with two very different looks. I love the JC dial and the gradient texture. With your explorer I think the Deepsea would be a great complement in the collection. In all things watches, get the one you really want, and not one that is "just okay."

Don’t do it. The BLNR is the winner in that competition.

Think both have a place in a collection, so take what comes first and get on the list for the other.

I'm betting that if you put a Rubber-B or Everest band on the DeepSea you wouldn't notice the top-heavy aspect as much and it would probably be more comfortable. If I could pull off that big of a dial that's what I would do but a 40 looks big on my wrist...so...

Rx:BLNR daily.
Then go put your name on the list for the DeepSea and get a rubber watchband for it.
Oh happy day!

I have both, the Deep Blue and Batman. Love them equally, but if I had to pick, I'd keep the Deep Blue. The SD43 is next on my list, probably the perfect happy medium.

It's a big watch. Not one I'd wear as a daily. If getting both, go for the first available one. If only one BLNR and I'm a D-Blue owner.

D-Blue. Had both and the BLNR is gone now. It is a great watch but no contest between the two for me.

Had both - and I will say D-Blue
It’s way special model and the engineering is amazing (even tho a tall watch)

Two great watches (have them both). If I were to pick one, it is most definitely the deepsea!
It’s miles above anything else (well except the new Pepsi for me)

BLNR is my work watch and does it all. The SD43 is a good in between size or compromise to the DSSD.
Note: love the glidelock of the DSSD and SD so accessorized my BLNR with one and now it’s ⌚️. Lastly, when in doubt or in tough decision making places like this, get them all.

My newest watch is the 126660 in Black - I would love the D-Blue, but I also adore the Black so I am pretty happy and glad that I didn't have to chose :)

I have to say it doesn't feel top heavy at all to me. Not sure if that's to do with the bracelet changes for 2018 or not, but I honestly barely notice I am wearing it. It was immediately comfortable.
