Yet Another BLNR Arrival (But This One Is Mine!)

First post, so any inaccuracies in the Rolex terminology or world please forgive me for as this is my first ever Rolex purchase for both myself and my fiancé...

I stopped into my local AD yesterday and the BLNR was in! I was the first one to open the watch from it’s plastic and styrofoam encasing and remove the plastic bezel cover even, it was a very cool experience for me.

I didn’t expect it to come in this quickly, as I had asked to be notified upon its arrival (if it ever came in) a few weeks ago. I think I just got lucky.

We were visiting the AD to have the fiancés rings cleaned and not yet having known the BLNR had come in I had asked my fiancé to take a look at the available Rolexes for her so we’d both have a goal to work towards as we waited for mine to come in. Little did I know she’d find a blue dialed Oyster Perpetual in 31mm with Arabic and stick hour indices that she loved and that she viewed as special because it had the blue to subtly accent the BLNRs bezel... (Women, always matching!)

We closed on our first house this Friday and picked up - OUR - pair of time pieces Saturday, after closing.

There’s something special when your significant other does more than humor you in a hobby you have by getting into it with you instead.

I’ve been able to snap some shots with my phone for now but we all know this piece (well, any Rolex really) deserves high quality DSLR shots. I’ll get some of those shortly.

Sadly no shots of the OP blue dial, she won’t let me even see it she’s wearing it proudly. Oddly enough, she’s far more excited about this time piece purchase than I ever thought she’d be and it makes me quite happy.

EDIT: I’d post pictures but there’s the 10 post requirement.

Many congrats on a wonderful incoming, as well as soon getting married, and closing on your first home. These watches will definitely have some amazing memories attached to them. Enjoy!

Looks like we have 10 posts now, as promised...

Only have the stock photo of the fiancés OP for now, but for reference.

Beautiful. We appear to live in the same town and I can tell you I have never once seen a BLNR in the wild here in CLE. Congrats.

Thanks everyone!

I'm extremely excited about the purchases we've made the past few days. I knew people hated buying houses because of the process, I have a whole new appreciation for that frustration now.

Where at in the CLE area? I was told by the AD that the BLNR is not too common in this area and I'll be being asked how I was this lucky, seems like they are spot on.

I think I'm officially aboard the Rolex train, I now understand why people have said nothing really compares. I'm afraid the rest of my collection is now at risk of a visit to the chopping block.

I am on the east side. I deal with Alson's and have never seen a BLNR there.

I agree! Man that entire process was a headache, glad it’s over with.

The watches are serving as a celebratory gift to ourselves as well as wedding gifts to each other. The BLNR will be worn in my wedding, not sure the OP will make an appearance on her wrist for the wedding though. But it will be used daily for taking blood pressures while she’s at the hospital!

I’m over on the southwest side. The BLNR never saw the showcase, it was in the safe awaiting my arrival thankfully.

Good to know I’m not the only BLNR owner in the CLE area - means I won’t be the only guy on the hit list. ;)
