I wouldn't try the new watch stores in Singapore 'cause the prices would be more expensive. For pre-owned watches take a look at Lucky Plaza at Orchard Road. There are many pre-owned watch stores there and the prices are relatively competitive.
Don't go to the ones in Chinatown as they are really expensive. Malaysians go to Singapore to buy watch, so that pretty much sums up Malaysia. |

KL is not bad for watches IMO. No tax on watches in Malaysia. Singapore also good but need to claim gst refund at the airport. In KL try Starhill Gallery on bukit bintang. In Singapore there are too many to mention but The Hour Glass does many brands and has a few locations. Neither have much in the wet of true vintage watches for sale. Not st reasonable prices anyway.

To me Singapore is the best place to buy Rolex, AP and PP watches. You can find many high end watch shops in Orchard Road Singapore, The Hour Glass, Cortina Watch, Dickson watches... to name a few
All of them are willing to give a substantial discount and you will also get a GST refund Watches in Malaysia would be slightly more expensive than in Singapore |

Mixed messages here but I have bought in both and KL is without doubt the cheaper of the 2 locations to buy NEW watches. Many ADs and boutiques in Starhill, KLCC and Pavillion. All tax free you don't need to worry about reclaiming GST at airport.
PREOWNED buy in Singapore, some good suggestions above. |

I would recommend this shop.
https://www.facebook.com/swisswatch.my https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=240617 In Singapore no doubt you get a great selection, especially exotic pieces but I doubt is the cheapest. Malaysia is not bad either in selection and prices. Have fun.... |

Pre-owned watches are much cheaper in the US unless you're good at bargaining in Malaysia. If you're just browsing new watches, major shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur around the Bukit Bintang and KLCC areas are recommended.
I think pre-owned prices in Singapore are much higher than Malaysia. Make sure you try all the local food! |

Ahh food...
If noodle is your thing, "Mee Goreng" is a must in KL. The aroma of deep dry fried noodles garnished with garlic, eggs etc. |

The cost of doing business in a up market mall in downtown K.L is significantly lower than in Singapura and hence the overall cost is much lower. I would actually recommend buying the watch that you're interested in K.L as the AD's there are fairly flexible with discounts and there is no tax applied. Bukit Bintang and that general area has always been considered as a local area for shopping so its a good start. Twin towers area is also pretty good overall for checking out the designer shops.I would also recommend checking out the AD's in Sunway Lagoon ( which is a nice daytrip out of the downtown area)
With regards to Malaysian food it is a mixture of local Malay, ethnic chinese of Cantonese, Hokkien dialect style, Indian of predominantly tamil so there is an extremely wide variety of food and preparation styles. Would recommend trying the satay ,chicken rice; char kuey teow; durian , chendol, roti canai.Cost wise it will be extremely affordable . Most dishes are around the 5 Rm mark and tipping at local coffee shops/ cafes aren't compulsory. Have an awesome trip. |

I was in Singapore 2 weeks ago, and had the chance to visit most of the AD's on Orchard Rd. Prices aren't as good as in the States. Also, the used dealers in Lucky Plaza were very proud of their watches...prices were ridiculous.
Be sure and visit the Rolex and other watch dealers at the Marina Bay Sands casino...they all have a very nice selection. |

Singapore prices are not cheap for watches.
I would say you could give KL a try but as stated above the USA provides perhaps better prices and range. Anyway have a great time and enjoy the cuisine

I would reiterated on the places listed already for Singapore. However, it'll be tough to find any bargains. The city is just flushed with cash and too many well heeled folk these days. Also the Singapore dollar is near a 5 year high relative to the U.S. dollar.
Good luck hunting! |

This is a copy paste from other forum(s), hence the differences in written style. I'd go to Time Pacific first. They have at least 2 shops in KL. Needless to say, caveat emptor. Do not buy anything pre-owned, anywhere, unless you know your stuff pretty well. Some of these places, especially the last one, are in less commendable parts of town, according to my local friends. You might get more than you ask for in those neighborhoods. Unless accompanied by locals, do NOT let the Indiana Jones in you mud your judgment. KL is not Singapore (some of us might say luckily ) Time Pacific Watch Sungei Wang Plaza LG021 Jalan Sultan Ismail 55100 Kuala Lumpur Summit Mall,Subang Jaya,Malaysia. 2nd Floor. Focus Time Service Gallery. Time Square level 4, CYT Watches Central Market Wong Kim Watches on 1st fl Wing Wah Watch Shop No3 Jalan SS14/1 47500 Subang Jaya Selangor Dahrul Ehsan Enjoy Malaysia. Great people. Great food. |
