Can you all give authenticity feedback please

Good evening,

Can I get your thoughts on the authenticity of this watch? I was told that it was purchased from Rolex at La Campanina in Capri.

Thanks for your feedback

Something about it rubs me the wrong way.

I see what you see in the second comparison but what do you see in the first?

Thanks

Boldness of font got dialed up some years ago. Could easily be the lighting but it looks more like previous thinner font.

There's a ton of these on MODA for 12k, fyi.

Looking at the comparison again, I also noticed how the 12o'clock mark points directly down to the center of the Rolex crown logo and on the one in question, it is slightly off.

I think it’s the photos. Third picture is mine, top is a watch blog and the middle photo is yours. If you look closely you can see how your photo is washed out and makes the dial look off.

The 12 o'clock on the blog pic and your pic both line up directly pointing down to the center of the crown logo but the middle one is off just a little.

In these times, its the smallest things that can scare away a sale lol.

Watch is fine.

Did you take those pictures, or did they come from a would-be seller?

If the latter, I'd be more concerned about the actual source of the pics (and the legitimacy of the seller), given the odd photoshop info cover-up and use of two different PS brush colors.

The seller sent me the pics. He wrote my name on a piece of paper next to the watch. I used the white paintbrush to cover my name and he used the green to cover the serial number.

If you plan on keeping it forever and don't want the risk just ask one of our TS on TRF to source one for you. Probably add $1k but rest easy.

Yea, that's what I'm leaning towards...
