Zenith - Had to go
I recently purchased a Zenith Defy Skyline in blue, direct from the Zenith web web. The watch showed up very quickly, which was good. What is not good is how it fit (me, anyway). I could not get a proper fit - either too loose or just barely too tight. In both instances I found the inside of the bracelet harsh, for sure, there is a sharp corner on the edge of the clasp release that was super annoying, and the overall the bracelet pulled out more wrist hair than every watch I ave ever owned combined. Sent that beooch back to its mamma.
What I bought vs what I felt. |

Very unfortunate to hear your experience. I got the white and it's very comfortable without pulling any hair. And I've had other popular pieces to compare so my personal experience of the piece is a very good deal. I hope this is just a one off for the sharp edges but if the wrist size doesn't fit comfortably then it's a difficult one to fix.

If you can't get a proper fit it's tough. I got a pretty hyped up watch before the hype hit and the clasp actually cut my wrist. The company was awesome and actually send me a modified buckle that was better but I still couldn't get a good fit. Was a bummer since I really liked it otherwise.

Yeah, it is unfortunate. I liked the watch otherwise.

Sorry to hear - I know you and I were drawn to this model (and others like it) around the same time, but bracelet fit is absolutely important.
Any ideas on what you'll replace it with?

Such is the watch game. You are smart to move it on as it did not work. Sometimes that is just the way it is. Find one that you want and don't look back.

We've all had this exact situation and know how annoying it is. There's zero excuse to not have a no tool micro adjust on any luxury bracelet but yet there's still so many high 4 to 5 figure watches that give you nothing.

I really volleyed between the Eagle and the Skyline. Eagle is most likely next up. |

Both CSRs indicated that I could just pack back up, put on the pre-printed label and return it to the mother ship. So I did. |

I truly love the AE. Perfect fit, perfect size case. I know it's a bit more money than the Defy, but if you're spending that much money anyway, might as well get the one that truly fits and ticks all of the boxes.

I really did like the aesthetics of the watch. I liked the dial, good color, the star pattern was nice. Bezel and case - good to go. The 1/10 sweeping small second hand is neat, useless but cool. The bracelet has a cool retro vibe, nice taper, and the removable end link contraption is super slick - maybe as good as any out there. But oh damn, that thing was horribly uncomfortable to me.

Haha - 6.75. I had 3 links removed but I like to wear my watches loose; others would probably take the 4th link out.

The AE might do the same. I think I have 3 links out on the DJ41 as well.

Being lazy. Is there a micro adjust or half link for the alpine?

There is not, but I did here there was either a half link or 1.5 link that you could purchase (similar to the DD). Luckily have never needed a thing like that though; I think the links are small enough that you should be able to get the correct fit.

Can’t help but think if you buy a watch for that cash from the internet without trying it on in the shop, problems could arise!

Not even comparable in my opinion… the finishing on the Chopard is really top notch. I am biased though… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
