No "SWISS" On This 1601 Dial?

I was poking around eBay like usual and found this 1601. The dial does not say "SWISS" at the six o'clock mark. Is that common? It doesn't look like a re-dial; but maybe it is

Also, where the base of the bezel sits on the case, it looks a little thin, as if its been over polished? Shouldn't there be a raised flat base and then the fluting begins?

Any opinions on this? To be truthful, I'm interested in bidding, so my questions aren't just curiosity.

Thanks all.

x2. It's common to find the "Swiss" missing @ 6:00 on refinished dials.

When you look on the dial carefully you may find "CHINA" or "VIETNAM" or "TAILAND" instead of "SWISS" on it.

1601 Dial

It looks like a PIE-PAN dial and T swiss made T is tucked away at the bottom of the dial and is difficult to see and even harder to photgraph !!

Here are some pics of my 1601 and my !603 is even harder to photgraph with its Blue Dial. Regards Dennis.
