Problems with ladies Seiko quartz

This is the first watch I bought my wife, (probably 15+ yrs. ago). I recently pulled it out of storage, buffed it out and replaced the battery. It runs great for about eight hours and then stops.?! I wind the hands forward and backwards and then reset it... and the same thing happens. If any of you out there have any suggestions for a quick fix I'd appreciate it. Other than that I believe I know where I could probably get a replacement movement for it, but I'd image the cost to swap it out might make it unrealistic... has sentimental value though. Any advice would be welcomed.

Thanks Again, Joe!
