I suspect 50k is very possible and will be in the 40s shortly unless something changes.

seems high, steel
bracejet are like 3,000$
My 5167 came with rubber originally.
i like both and take turn switching steel vs rubber …

Maybe in the 20s in 6 months?

Then I will be able to buy it from the AD!

For that much I would look for a 5164.
I think the general consensus here is 5164>5167.

Right, but there is no market of sellers at that price consensus….perhaps yet. I doubt the 5164 will ever hit mid 40’s (for a decent one)….I know, I know people here are going to be able buy them at AD’s 20% off as well as the Daytona…cough, cough. That said, both are great pieces.

Right…getting closer to pulling the trigger on some pieces that have eluded me.

I’m hoping the price keeps dropping. It needs to get to a level where I can feel okay wearing mine around.

When it is worth the less than a Rolex Datejust? It will always be worth enough to steal…Don’t get me wrong, I get what your saying though.

I have some pieces that I wear daily, which gave me pause when putting on in the morning as the valuations had spiked so severely…but I still wear anyways albeit with greater situational awareness (and insurance).

Prices will continue to drop.
I got a 5712a relatively easily in November ( had to buy a $30k Bovet to get one)
Loved the watch but in January prices were irrational and was offered absolute insane money for it from one of friends/dealers

Now im on a hunt to buy one back.
Found a new/unworn for $115k but is in London (100k GBP)

Will wait till they go below 100k

I dont regret the action I did as i dont get emotional about watches given valuations were not rational and I was uncomfortable wearing a $200k watch ( at the time)

My advice is… if you really want one, you will be able to find one under $50k soon if not already… i think thats a reasonable price for 5167a

Good luck

Oh man, don't talk about the 5712 like that.

Forum member "rolexpatek363" is going to have a cow. A couple months back during summer he was denying the continued price declines as he was expecting to sell his at an auction house next year. Guess that's not looking too well and that China isn't going to save the day after all.

According to the widely despised & derided C24, 5712A peaked at (GBP) £170k in April, and is now just under £150k. In December it was £106k. Where will it go? I don't know, but I suspect when China reopens it will go up again, and when it's discontinued there is every chance it will go still higher.

Me too! Also paid around $13k for a used one that was 6 months old. It used to be the ugly stepsister!

Waiting lists -even cleaned of pure flippers- are still real.
So prices will never go below retail on hot models like nauts, aquas, ROs, some rolexes etc.
But prices will continue dropping as the premium is still too high imho.
What is the landing? Is it 10-20-50% above retail? I don't know. We also have to keep in mind that MSRPs also went significantly up during that crazy period.

I posted in one of replies

I am hunting for one and it is relatively easy to find one around $115-120k unworn

Used should be around $100k

Nashville watch company has one for $109k posted in classifieds
