Patek Pocket Watches
Are there any Patek Philippe pocket watch collectors here?
I personally don't own any, but find them fascinating and want to learn more. I have seen some vintage ones (pre 1930) at attractive prices that seem much better deals than new ones and have a cool history to them. |

I remember looking at themaybe 7-8 years ago at auction, some time only ones went for a couple grand. The thing that stopped me was servicing from Patek was supposed to be very expensive to get an 80 year old watch up to snuff. Some of the parts would have to be fashioned and could take over a year. Im sure you could find a good watchmaker to service it but that's where my search ended. Definitely a cool relative "bargain," kind of wanted to use it as a small desk clock

I love them and if you find a one you like I would consider the Patek restoration, expensive but worth it

Since I barely have any vintage knowledge but also been thinking about buying a pocket watch ideally a MR (but have been held back to pull the trigger as I’d rather use the funds to buy wristwatches for now ;) I would go with John Reardon’s Collectibility. Also, the website offers tons of interesting things to learn about vintage pateks and you can trust him as one of the foremost authorities on PP Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The last restoration cost I had was about 7 years ago and it was £3680, the pocket watch was a stainless steel model Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
