Speedmaster Rubber Strap - AMAZING

Went with my buddy last weekend to watch window shop, he was looking for the new Speedmaster rubber strap, so we popped into the Omega boutique on the off chance they had one. They luckily had one for sale.

After it was installed, this combo made me want a Speedmaster again just to pair it with this strap. So supple and comfortable, and the moon surface texturing on the underside is a nice little detail.

Looks really sharp!

Wonder if they are, or are planning to make these for the 44.25mm Speedmasters?

That is really sharp-

Surprised that combo is not more popular.

Does Omega sell Speedmasters in this configuration or is it always aftermarket?

The strap was released with the new moonshine gold speedies this year. The only way to get them is to order the new strap separately as of today

The strap was designed for and introduced on the new Moonshine Gold Speedmaster. It looks like Omega produced that watch to compete with the PM Daytona on Oysterflex.

It really looks sharp on the Gold Speedmaster but IMO, I do not prefer it on the SS versions. It's better suited for a watch that belongs in the water, like the Seamaster 300m.

With straps, is there any hope of getting a discount on them at an AD? I want to pick up a deployent and at least one of the leather, rubber, or that thick fabric strap, but the cost of 500-600+ tax for both is a hefty price to swallow for OEM parts. Anyone have any experience with this?

Not really unless you were able to negotiate them at the time you bought the watch. YMMV though.

The stock rubber strap on the PO Deep Black (GMT) is the best rubber strap I have ever used/worn.

They do make great rubber straps.

That's actually a pretty good deal. Similarly priced at retail for Breitling clasp and rubber.

Got mine installed today at my local OB. Pictures do not do this combination justice. This is the most comfortable rubber strap I’ve owned.

I like rubber straps…not understanding one on a watch that doesn’t get wet (I know it says it’s 100m- but mine had to go back to service from a wear in a pool so learned my lesson).

Moonwatches are only 50M water resistant. That's one of my biggest gripes with them.

I moved over to the Moonphase which has 100M WR. I swim with it and have not had any issues.
