And .. since I’m one mentioned it earlier, you can buy a movement on par with other haute horology in the 321 at the same price.

I agree it’s a difficult comparison, but IMHO the Speedmaster is undervalued next to the Daytona. YMMV
I totally Agree

Nope, I think the 3861 was/is undervalued by Omega. I think the watch punches way above that price. I am very impressed with my 3861 Speedy. Keeps amazing time, beautiful and robust NASA approved movement, wonderful bracelet, wears like a 40mm, quality, history and heritage is there.
It has become the one I grab the most in my collection. Glad I bought before the rise, and I think they could honestly charge more, and now waiting for an Ed White.

I concur. Everyone got used to the hugely under valued 1861 prices and figured it was just a starter Omega watch. Omega has had undervalue prices for much too long. This jump is warranted, in other areas it can be extreme($80k) for canopus gold Speedys is eye watering, but these low prices for Seamaster Diver 300s, Planet Oceans and Speedmasters has been overdue, hold one and compare the quality with your Rolex....I have, it's comparable imo.
Compared to Rolex, Omega loses on classic design and heritage, and brand name power, think Submariner from the 70s compared to today, meanwhile compare a PO or Seamaster to current. Too many unnecessary evolutions and redesigns.

Got my 3570.50 Speedy used in 2010 - warranty card is from Continental Jewelers. Paid $1700. Crazy times we’re in now.
