I'd try to get the 5370P in blue as above suggested and pay a bit more and better my relationship with the AD. that watch puts you in heavy hitter territory. like blue way more than black

I have an abundance of blue watches, and not a fan of the electric/pastel blue. The black is the classic. Blue may or may not have staying power.

So far, I have won 100% of the time by avoiding ADs and the drama. Maybe I’ll eventually want a piece I can’t reasonably get another way, but there are no MRs on my list.

I would. Gold Jumbo or PT Daytona isn't my vibe, I support that trade (I'm not up-to-date on the trade values though). While the 5370 is a really cool complications, I would perhaps look at a 5170 of some sort but perhaps with a Tiffany dial. I handled the white dial one at the Tiffany store back when, I should have pulled the trigger when I had the chance...

Patek chrono with applied Breguet numerals... it doesn't get better in my book.

Those two pieces are in a league of their own. I would not do this trade.

Congrats on the trade, and I agree with your assessment on blue vs black.

Thinking of 5270 and 5930 I also doubt that green will be looked upon favorably in the long run.

I saw a few posts mentioning to put the name down at an AD. But correct me if I am wrong, isn’t the 5370P an application piece? If so, it is not going to be as simple as putting the name down.

The black is also discontinued, with the newest 5370P available only in blue.

I share your doubts about the green dials, but more importantly, I really don’t care for them. I didn’t like any of the green Rolex subs, and don’t care for the new green 5930 or 5270.

Hands down, my favorite piece in the collection. And I have a few.

Congrats on the trade. Mine says hi!

Thanks, Logan! That’s a beauty, and a neat shot aligning the hands.

The 5270 and 5370 are my favorites by far. Those two and a world time for travel are about all anyone needs, along with a little something for the pool/beach.

Maybe I need to revive Jorge’s consolidation thread. The ultimate 4 watch collection…

Exact, but, OP has a collection of PP and can prove it. So I wonder if it would be such a blocking issue.

To my knowledge, application only is intended to please **real** PP fans and filter speculators.

OP seems to be a good exemple of a true PP fan.

I'm in the minority here as I would absolutely do that trade in an instant. While I love the daytona and royal oak, the horological significance of the 5370 is in a completely different realm, imho.

Well there you go. Great minds think alike

Seen your update. Congrats on your new 5370P incoming!

I just looked on Chrono24 for some perspective. Only 20 total and 10 in the Black discontinued. It’s a hell of watch in all aspects. Availability and price ranking pretty high as well. I’d love to see a shot of the 52 and 53 side by side

No chance I would do that trade. AP Jumbo 15202OR is pure class, perfect dimensions.
The Platona is such a cool but still badass watch. Good luck with your decision.
