1803 dials for caliber 1555 & 1556. Fitment issue
Dear all,
I have an 1803 watch from approx 1974 (non-quickset), and want to change the pie pan dial. My watchmaker says he can't fit the dial due to "pan pie sides" (see picture) might be a bit to high. When comparing this dial to others 1803 pie pan dials, most of them (but not all) have a sunken center (see picture). My dial does not. Have any of you heard of differences between caliber 1555 & 1556 dials or have had similar fitment issues? Thanks in advance. Peter |

.
Can you clarify.. "...might be a bit too high ? ! He thinks or tried it? I do not see any issues with either dial you posted for an 1803. Maybe you need another watchmaker. |
