Explorer 1 at AD on 5th Ave NYC

Ordered it but decided to go with Sub. It was there at 6pm (close of business). Just wanted share for anyone looking for one in midtown NYC.

That is all.

That’s where I picked up my Hulk a couple of years ago just walking in to browse. They had one in back and not on display. How lucky!
Amazing how times have changed! Had outstanding service with a glass of champagne as well.

Shows how long since I’ve been there, but does wempe still sell Rolex at their famous store? Or have they moved that business to the boutique in the Rolex building?

Wempe Rolex is all at the boutique off of 53rd and 5th. All other brands they sell are at the bigger store two blocks up on 55th. I think they may keep a small Rolex display at the main store though.

There is still a fairly robust Rolex display area at the main Wempe

They have a full rolex display at the main store, and of course the boutique as well. Both get independent allocations.

Long time lurker, decided to pull the trigger on a SS model. Was pretty sure about the Explorer, but something said Sub....

Read the Dhiren/Jsol CHNR thread... Hit a chord... Would be great if someone who truly cares grabbed it...

Very nice of you. Wish I could do the same but the ADs here are completely bare!
I’m in Hawaii and there’s a member in Florida offering to help!

A few years back, when the Daytona was available with a 6-12 month wait, Wempe offered to sell me one if I spent $75k on other items. Haven’t gone back since.
