Buyer's remorse?

Hi guys,
I went shopping with my three year old cousin today after I took her swimming, and I happened upon a dress that looks very similar to one designed by my favourite designer, Herve Leger. I spent about forty five minutes in the store trying to make a decision on whether to buy it or not.
A Herve Leger dress would cost about $1500, this one cost just under $120. It is beautiful beautiful beautiful, but I have NO where to wear it, and it is a little less conservative than I usually wear. I bought it anyway, knowing that I could always get a full refund if I changed my mind.
It is killing me. I KNOW that I have no reason to have it, it was a waste of a lot of money and it's not appropriate for the season, but it's just so pretty, and I feel great in it!
I don't know what I'm looking for with this thread, either a talk down from the ledge of keeping it, or an excuse to keep it??

PLEASE HELP, TRF!

p.s. I must admit, it's hard switching from three words to full length and back again!

Seek out a time and place to wear it. Why isn't it appropriate for a night out? Not too familiar with the designer.

Well, there's Christmas parties (I don't know of any), New Years (no plans yet), Valentines day (Usually not a big deal anyway) and my birthday, which is in August It still isn't practical!

This is the dress. It's just so pink and pretty.

Oh, and another reason it isn't practical, I have no shoes to go with it!

Pretty dress Ashley.
Find a reason.
Look for occasion.
Invent something up.
Makes you happy.
Keep the dress.
Wear it often.
Katy Perry Glam?
Retro 40's style?

I think that dress looks quite stunning on you, Ashley. And I don't think it's too formal......which means you could wear it for any informal occasion.....as long as you're happy with it.

Thanks, JJ! The informality is the best part. It leaves it open to so many events.
But I'm off to bed, have a great night everyone!

Oh my Ashley, look at that skinny figure!!

You look amazing in that dress!! You should keep it just to reward yourself for the mindblowing transformation your body has gone through!
Don't worry about it being a little more pricey, that's why you work right! It's okay to spoil yourself once and a while, and don't let anybody else talk you into returning something for the price! You deserve it!

Ashley, you look fantastic in that dress. It suits you.

Sounds as if you picked up a bargain so you should feel proud on that score. Find an excuse to wear the dress - if you like it and it makes you happy then theres no need to worry.

I think you live in a place too cold for that dress...
Have a holiday down south and wear it.
I'm imagining about the safety pin dress
P.S. These kind of dresses are quite common down under. Lots of girls wear these bright colours, especially in the horse races
