It was a year ago today...

It was a year ago today, at an AD in London, that I put my name down on the waiting list for a BLNR. I was told that I was 5th on the list and they typically get one in every 2 months...

Five weeks later I got the call.

I picked it up last November so had it nearly a year.

The reason I posted was to let people know that in the UK if you're prepared to put your name down on a waiting list sometimes you get the watch quicker than you first thought!

glad it worked out for you.
Honestly, BLNR, Sub-LV, SD43. I think if people look hard enough, you can find them at dealers for retail price (or a short wait). The two watches that are truly hard to get now is the Sky Dweller and Ceramic Daytona.

That’s a refreshing change from the standard tales of the UK being a barren wasteland of supply for popular SS models

It was about 4 weeks ago that I happened to walk into my AD and they had a BLNR that arrived a day earlier, still in the safe. Of course I bought it on the spot :) My first Rolex and I love it.

Similar with me...I scanned the glass cabinet and the rep said, ‘these Batman models don’t sit long, but I think we got another in yesterday.’

They brought it out in a tiny plastic bag. Bought it on the spot. Haven’t seen one their since. That was late June.

I love this watch!

Great move on your part and congrats! Nice to hear this on TRF from the uk, considering the news on these blnrs on the island is generally grim.
