Thanks Dave...

Only thing that bugs me about the watch is the turning action on the crown. It feels rough...like there is sand caught in the gears. Same feel on this watch AND the first Used / scratched one I returned to the seller.

We have both been spoiled with having Rolex and I did notice using the crown on the Seiko was not a fluid as my other watches. it does feel like there tiny bit of resistance when using the crown, I'll have a play with my other Seikos here and see if its the same

Great photo Bill. As far as the winding goes, mine feels like it has some sand in it too. It's a great watch though.

The greens price was out of my range. The Monster needs its own forum now.

I was really bummed that I couldn't wear mine straight out of the box, so I sized it using a modified toothpick and a paper clip . Those collars are really fiddly though.

Hey guys,

I read the limited edition Green Monsters were all reserved, already sold out and were almost $500....

They are NOT THAT NICE!!!!!!

I did not like the cyclops....and was not sure about the gray minute markers.I was looking out at the AD's to see if i could see one.I guess i can forget about that.

Looks like there are alot of Monster ltd ed collectors out there.Apparently a green one was offered for sale online recently asking $1700.
Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!

I love Monsters but it will never hold "that" level of grail status with me!!!!

I thought it was interesting though.

I have to say that I agree 100%. I don't own a monster yet, but it is on my list (just near the bottom).

Does your monsters run about 20 seconds a day, or are they more accurate than that?

Hi Ricky,

I have read several Monster reviews and the consensus seems to be about 20 secs per day.

I never checked mine precisely, but i have no reason to suspect otherwise!!

I wonder if I can find some other colored Monsters in Japan this Spring.

What do you see at Retail Ryan? Anything other than orange and black? What about blue and red? I know yellow and green are limited editions...

I'd just like to clarify to any mod's that I'm NOT selling these watches NOR am I recommending them......
I'm just after anyone's thoughts or opinions as to how they compare to the 'traditional' Monsters.

Hi Dan,

They are Sports 5 models....and not Monsters...many people refer to them as Monsters incorrectly.

They have the same movement as a Monster(7S36)
They are Water Resistant to 100m....the monsters go to 200m.
They have crown at 3 and monsters at 4.
There is a larger basic range than Monster.
I think they look slightly more finished than Monsters.......but that is why i like the Monsters........rugged,basic.

Hope this helps

The actual 'Monster's are scarce in the UK but I'll see what's around on ebay & amazon when I'm ready to pull the trigger.

Getting heaps of sleep :-) Looks like we are pretty lucky with this little fellow, not like the little girls for the first 9 months, no sleep at all, nice and relaxed here, Jens just giving him a feed and I'm hoping the next feed will be around 2-3am, we head home tomorrow so thats when we get to relax a bit more
