So, I read the other posts on this watch, and it appears the experts all agree the watch is legit! Talk about a barn find. This had all the earmarks of a bogus sale, particularly a sale on eBay from someone with zero feedback as a seller. I agree with whoever made the comment that they would want to close the deal face to face. I guess I still have a lot to learn.

This is a super rare variation. Cool watch, for sure, but I could think of a lot better uses for $100K.

The highlighted reading level from that list is 1000 times higher than the peak reading from the watch in the ad... im sure that there was never a watch produced that would lead to acute radiation poisoning.

I wonder what liability the estate sale company might face with this resale? If this was a typical situation where a professional estate sale company was hired to liquidate for the family and the family finds out there is a possibility they could try to recover damages. Estate liquidators are wise to be protected with insurance, ie. malpractice insurance for which this could be argued to be appropriate.

Final bids will go in soon, it will be interesting to see.

I like the comment about the estate liq company having liability. Where I reside, these people are super unsophisticated and sketchy. The bottom line is that you never ever sell something without trying to figure out value. If they used a liquidator then they were lazy or just very unlucky. Or both. Sad for them but good on mr eBay seller
