Pepsi vs SS Sky-Dweller

Both in Stainless Steel

Pepsi for the GMT, Sky-D in any color dial you choose. Your choice of bracelet for either. What is your pick?

Pepsi would be my choice, but would have to be on Jubilee. TBH, that was a really tough one for me to pick. If I was at an AD, then the SA brought out a Pepsi and a blue dial Sky-D and said I can only choose one to buy......I'd have one helluva time! Especially if both were on Jubilee!

Sky dweller for me because the ring command bezel function is unique to Rolex.

It’s just really cool even though you’ll almost never touch it once the watch has been set.

Pepsi is more versatile though. Probably fits in to any situation.

The fluted bezel on the sky dweller is meant to be striking because of the way it reflects and throws off light. So.. might be hard to pull off in casual situations.

Pepsi has mass appeal for average to small wrists ,SkyD is a standout .Beautiful design and one of the more complicated movement designs from Rolex .

I voted Pepsi. But if I had a wrist big enough to wear Sky D, I’d go for that. Dial color does not matter that much to me.

Easy for me. One thing I noticed is that once you get the skydweller, the GMT is no longer needed (unless you are a collector). It covers all the functions of GMT plus annual calendar. It wears bigger than GMT but it’s ok to me.

I have both but if I had to choose it would be my blro. I love my skydweller, but the fit and wearability goes to the gmt.

Pepsi for me. I love the Sky-D with its annual calendar, but sadly it's just too big to feel comfortable on my 6.75" wrist.

This 100%, I have both and the Sky Dweller is definitely 2nd choice when they are in the collection. The GMT is just so comfy, especially on the jubilee.

^^^Pretty much says it all. The Sky will certainly appeal to more of a advanced collector providing they have the larger wrist to wear it.

Both. Two differently styled watches that look and wear differently. I'd go black or blue for the Sly Dweller. I think white works better with TT YG and full PM. The Sky Dweller is clever because it is so simple and the Pepsi is, well, a Pepsi - enough said. Although the Sky Dweller is bigger, looks much bigger and is heavier than the GMT Master, it wears comfortably on my 6.5" oval wrist.

I prefer the look of the GMT Master on Oyster. For original authenticity and homage to the 1954 launch model it's got to be Jubilee, which I'm told wears more comfortably. I personally don't like the PCLs on the Oyster and will have mine brushed at some point. I'm after a blue SS Sky Dweller and this will be on Jubilee. I don't think you can go wrong with either bracelet.

If you can't have both, the BLRO has the lowest acquisition cost so is the logical choice at MSRP. If you're going grey I would hang back for a year. None of them are worth the grey premium, good though they are, and prices are sliding a bit.

I bet the BLNR would be more of a contest, the Pepsi will blow the SD away. For me I have to have a ceramic bezel. Also the SD looks too big and the dial is too busy. So Pepsi, but the BLNR over both of them.

As much as I love the Sky-D, I voted on the BLRO just due to the heritage of the reference, and how easy it is to wear for most wrists.

But often, you really cannot go wrong with either!
