Icon14 How do I earn enough money to buy a Rolex Submariner?

Hey guys. I am an 18-year-old university student, and I am saving up some money to buy a Rolex Submariner 14060, a Rolex Submariner 14060M, or a Rolex Submariner 124060. RM45k is the max that I can allocate to my purchase. Currently, I have more than enough money to buy it, but I do not want to waste it all on a Subbie. Where do I start?

The formula is very simple: work a 1/2 day everyday ~ 6am to 6pm

There are worse things to blow your money on. At least you could sell the Submariner for about what you spend on it if you change your mind. Go for it.

As for how to make money, I won’t be giving you any advice. There’s 12 year olds making my annual in 1 day shooting videos on YouTube or playing video games.
So you do you.

If you currently have enough to buy it, haven't you already figured it out? What exactly are you asking?

I suggest that if you are an 18 year old college student to not buy any Rolex or expensive watch at this time. Finish school, get a good job and then buy what you want, IMHO.

Invest the money in stocks, bonds, bitcoin, and yourself. Rolex is not something you need to worry about at 18. It isn't worth it / not that great and if you need the money you'll regret having tied it up on a steel man-jewelry bauble.

I strongly advise you against purchasing a sub right now. You have most likely lived life on easy mode so far and you have nothing to reward yourself for. Go study something great, land a great job, deserve the reward you want to go after. Delayed gratification is a crucial value in my opinion in life.

How do I earn enough money to buy a Rolex Submariner?

If I invested $10,000 in Nvidia back in 2015, it would be worth $1,570,000 today. Hindsight is 20/20, of course. But since you’re asking, I highly recommend all college age kids to learn as much as they can about the stock market and start investing.

Finish your education thats far more important than any watch, when you have finished your education and have a good regular job with regular income then perhaps save for your sub.

At your age I would not tie up so much money in a watch, I'd use it for study or for travelling and generally for gaining life experiences, luxury watches should come more naturally when you get a decent job and a Rolex watch is commensurate with that lifestyle.

I would just buy it now if it’s your dream. Achieving dreams teaches us a lot about ourselves and important life lessons. And these watches can be sold afterwards if you do need the funds, just make sure it is insured.

Keep saving until you have enough money to not worry about spending so much on a watch.

Please, forgive my cynicism here, but I can't help feeling sometimes, when I see this kind of post, that it is a, not very subtle form of begging.
Is the op hoping one of our, very well set members, will take pity on him and send him his free Rolex?

Otherwise, Alixanderov, you know the answer. Complete your education and earn and save the money to buy whatever your heart desires. It's a very well worn path to many a Rolex, I suspect.

I know people get upset over “another financial thread” but dump the roughly $9,400 right into Bitcoin today. Don’t touch it and forget about it. By year’s end, when it hits 100k you will have essentially doubled your money. Still don’t touch it.

I’ve been hearing “it’s going to hit 100K by end of year” for the last 5-6 years. This year is no exception

First year with ETFs though. They have had some serious inflows so far and a halving is coming.

I'm not cheerleading it. It could easily go to zero but everything can except maybe gold and food. I have maybe $100k of it.
