Surely they addapt prices in evry 60 minutes interval and most likely even prices are quoted either in SFR or EUR. So hope of getting a bargain should be left behind. But on the other hand most of other prices, especially food and all local goodies should be extremely affordable for anyone whose income is not in Turkish lira.

I was thinking the same thing. Yes, at AD the prices will be adjusted as they are tied to the EUR or USD but perhaps it is different at the brick and mortar and greys?

Any suggestions for a good watch stores to visit in Antalya or whereabouts?

There is no Rolex AD in Antalya as I found out last year.

Whatever inventory exists has probably been depleted. Did you see the lines at the luxury boutiques? Out the door.

Not interested in visiting AD, I was thinking about shops with vintage Rolex and Tudor on display.

Any tips will be appreciated for such places in Antalya.

I made a huge deal yesterday on an Omega Moonwatch by paying in Turkish Lira but no chance for Rolex.

I have a quite good standing with the local AD. If I am buying new it would be through them. Received 116610LV after a month and 1/2 wait. I believe it is not that bad. ;-)

Any tips for Antalya second hand stores carrying Rolex/Tudor will be appreciated.

Off topic but I thought I’d see a picture of Turkey upon opening this thread. Not the Country, but actual turkey.

Maybe it’s because I’m roasting some turkey legs at the moment and it smells great.

Sorry for the detour - it just struck me funny

I thought the same. Then I flashed back to the last time I was in Istanbul at the local AD. They had next to nothing in the case. I literally mean next to nothing.

As long as that dictator is in power, I would not go to Turkey.

Sorry, I jumped to a conclusion that you were were referring to warfare/terrorism. That was my fault.

Yeah, the economy hasn’t been great for ages there.

Guys, as someone who's traded in Turkey for 20 or so years, I can tell you most high value products, inc cars, properties etc are priced in USD and Euro.

It has always been this way, which is one of the reasons they're suffering. There are many but this is not the place to discuss.

A) Who here thought that luxury goods in Turkey would be tied to the Lira?

B) Can anyone over there find me one of these? Its amazing that all these birds make it here every year from Turkey. The logistics are astounding.

Most on this thread apparently.

We should all go to Turkey and wait in hotels for a few months until we can buy new subs for $35 USD.

You have a better chance of buying the hotel for $35.

What about going to US? While Trump is in office? If they weren’t so different physically I would have said both came as twins out.
