I think they usually roll around early in the new year. Don’t think it would be a great idea for a lot of their models since they are going well under retail.

Besides PM Codes, which other models are below retail?

A price increase would be surprising with inflation and current economic climate. Are price increases an absolute for these companies??

Offshores are well under. Some basic three hander Royal oaks (non-blue/green 15510s) are getting pretty close to retail when you factor in tax. Regular/chrono CODES are way under retail too.

Wow, I must be looking in all the wrong places, as I’m not seeing this at all (e.g. Chrono24). Do you mind enlightening me as to where you’re seeing this please?

Like Il Tifoso above, I too must be looking in wrong place. Honestly, I just glance at Chrono24 since I didn’t think there’s anything accurate out there.

I've seen a recent code chronograph listed for almost half price compared to retail

Check MODA. Was offered an offshore at retail but the relationship is not worth setting 10-12k on fire the way prices are going. I think APs aggressive prices increases the last 2 years is going to really hurt the brand. Sooner or later folks aren’t going to be willing to spend an extra 15k to start the relationship and they will have to start discounting models like the offshore.

I can see even Royal Oaks going for list or under soon.
16202OR retail is around 70k gbp and its going for 90k. Thats with dealer mark up.
Might just go grey as the AP bubble has well and truly burst.

Yes. 41mm and 37mm are getting very close to retail. Pretty clear what will happen.

List for the very hard to get 16202OR is £70,100 here in the UK Harry. I still maintain that people truly invested in the brand, and not the grey market value, don't care about the fluctuations and unsubstantiated grey market ask prices.

The Uk market for AP is massively different to the US Vince. Same for the Eastern world market too.

lol I don’t think any increased in the US recently. Might have just been FX adjustments for Euro (and other currencies)?

Across the board price increases (in some/most regions) Mar 1 2022, Sept 1 2022, Mar 1 2023, Oct 1/2 2023 (US had no change Oct 1/2)

Interesting I haven’t been tracking. How so? Thought Asia was cheaper…

Asia is relatively cheaper from USD perspective due to FX, but that’s probably what he meant. At retail there is some arbitrage due to strong USD, but there is less arbitrage in the gray markets naturally and thus the gap between retail price and market price is bigger

What makes you say it looks polished? The listing says there is some wear on the watch. Nashville is a reputable dealer so I think they would either note in listing that it’s polished or tell you if you asked. I bought a 15500 from them in may and couldn’t be happier.

Idk why it looks kinda round around the edges and not as crisp as the other one. Could be wrong - either way great price for a 50th anniversary

Would def recommend buying from them. Their prices are actually market and not market 2 years ago like DavidSW is trying to push.

You think the person that got it at 70k would have just passed! He couldn’t have made much off that if the grey is only trying to get 90!

Prices are dropping everyday! Most pieces will be under retail in the next month or two. Lots of deals/people looking to get out while they can but its already too late. Can't wait for things to get back to the buyer having the power and not chasing and dealing with the typical lines from AP sales teams!

This plus if you are ok with the current market price of the watch you have wanted and you have the funds go for it. It’s hard to catch a falling knife. Buy and wear and forgot the whole “investment” BS that has been pushed the last few years.

The CORRECT ANSWER IS ANY MONTH THAT ENDS IN A “Y” is a month for a retail price increase

I believe, given recent price trends, it would not be prudent for ANY watch company to raise prices in the near future.
