Rolex Rootbeer - besides polish and hands, any other issues on this?

https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/vinta...id12952986.htm

Thinking of getting a root-beer - it's usually hard to find one in my price range.

thanks TRF!

I don't know what the price range is because it has been taken down and I am no expert by any means and I;m sure they will chime in eventually. However, I will say the hands are very bright white and IMHO, service hands. Matching patina of hands and lume spots on the dial should be fairly close. Case looks like it's been polished a few times. The insert I think looks like a nice fat font period correct unit but again, not an insert expert either. Also, no bracelet which can add a lot of value to a watch or detract if it's not there. For an early 70s TT bracelet it's the 7206 with rivets or the 78363 both of which are 2K-3500 depending on condition with the earlier version 7206 getting a premium for scarcity. American-made bracelets definitely less expensive, especially oval-link. Lastly no box and papers, which if the watch was in better condition, who cares. Probably even less of a consideration when in not so good condition. Check the serial numbers between the lugs to get an approximate time frame for manufacture, which will also tell you more about what parts should be on the watch. I see some very nice examples come up on this site in the classifieds section. Good luck, can't wit to see pics of what you end up with.
