Submariner 16610LV

hey folks,

A friend of mine is selling his older Submariner for a tempting price. Since I'm not an expert im wondering if I should be worried looking at the pictures. I'll Have it check at an AD eventually but wanted to know beforehand if there any flaws or red flags. Appreciatie your time and feedback:

I assumed that was a typo. It's Ref 16610LN not Kermit LV. The AD needs to open the caseback to verify the movement. That's the only foolproof way. Let me guess 2008/2009 V serial ?

Perhaps you're right but here I'll show a pre ceramic Sub Z serial purchased in March 2008 with no engraved rehaut

I’ve got a funny feeling, and judging by your username, you already know the answer to your question.....and perhaps feeling the waters to see if you can pass this off as real?

I've seen older Rolexes with numbers looking like that through the cyclops. This looks okay to me, but get it opened up. Good luck.

If it's a "Friend " of yours selling the watch it seems you should not need to be asking this question.

Round date aperture, end links and date look wrong to me. Let's have a look at the movement then 'Reptime'. Get your caseback ball out.

Take it to your nearest RSC for a service quote.

Don't expect to get it back.
