Another Kind of Sleight of Hand Scam in Denver & Chicago Cash in Envelope @ Starbucks
This was widely reported on all the news stations locally fairly recently.
The watch looks totally after market in the news story, so I don't think it was worth what she was trying to get for it, but watch out for this type of scam so you don't get burned also. In the news report, they make it sound like the same guy burned another seller of a Rolex in Chicago using the same sleight of hand scam. http://kdvr.com/2017/12/05/lakewood-...aigslist-scam/ By comparison, here is an even crustier, blingier ladies 28 on ebay that they are asking $8k for... http://ebay.to/2AAnthv And here is a comparison of a 2 tone with just as much after market diamond work plus gold that sold for a couple grand less on ebay than what she was trying to get on CL in Denver. http://ebay.to/2CzxKwa Maybe the scammer is a self-described Rolex Vigilante who is trying to rid the world of these diamond after market atrocities? |

Sucks to hear but you are correct... this watch isn't worth anywhere near $8000
