OK yesterday came across a 2006 sea dweller with no lug holes. Which you guys prefer and why, lug holes or no lug holes.

What does either system offer as a benefit?

Which is going to have higher resale value?

Not for investment just which will be sought for more and why?

Hole cases are more vintage, might lead to more resale in the future. On practical terms they are worth the same to me, everything else being the same (overall condition, paperwork, etc.)

I have a Sub with holes and an ExII without. Holes are nice to swap out straps.

Lug holes matter only here on TRF, the rest of the world of Rolex owners don't even notice.

Yep! Really enjoy my SDc and prefer it over the 5 digit SDs because of the upgrades, but if I had my druthers I'd like it to have lug holes.

Because rolex makes the best bracelet why swap it

I love the lug wholes but I wanted a new watch so I got the SDc. But if I had the choice I'd love to have lug wholes on my new one.

I have a P-serial 16600, which has lug holes, and a SDc, which obviously doesn't. I only change straps on the 16600, because it's easy. I like having that option, but at the end of the day, rarely exercise it, since the bracelet is so good. 👍

I would always opt for lug holes given the option, but it's not that important to me. Just makes it so much easier to remove the bracelet for cleaning.

I prefer the no hole smooth case look and my days of changing straps on Rolexes are over.
