Constellation Vs. Seamaster

I have always bought Constellations but Seamasters seem to be more popular. Curious as to reason why?

Are we talking new or vintage here?

New, I would say Constellation the constellation is a dress watch, were as the Seamaster has several diving models and they are much more in fashion now.

Vintage I would say the Constellation is more popular in general. You may see more Seamasters, however, because there are alot more out there.

Thank You! I guess I should have specified, I have collected vintage Constellations. What you say makes perfect sense! Thanks again!

Sports watch vs dress.

Without pics it's more difficult for folks to interact.

The vintage pie pan Constellations I would say are second only to Speedmaster's as far as popularity.
I like and own all 3, all great watches and excellent values still, in my opinion.

At an average of one post per year, you're not exactly burning up the forum with your interaction either.

To answer your question, people around here tend to be much more interested in sport watches. You'll see the same over on the Rolex sub forum as well - a ton of threads discussing GMTs, Subs, Daytonas, etc, but nary a mention of any Cellini.

Gee Dave I did not realize there was a quota. AND since you are into details, if you had investigated further and reviewed my most recent posts you would have seen that Yes, I have returned to the site after an absence. Having a knee replacement and fighting cancer seemed to be a priority at the time instead of posting on a watch site. And who is talking about Cellini anyway?
